Professor Alice Roberts and teams of archeologists across the UK take part in key excavations of WW2 artifacts.

These include the raising of a World War II Fairy Barracuda bomber from the English Channel, an exploration of a hostel for Holocaust survivors in the Lake District, and the excavation of US Army paratroopers' barracks in Salisbury.

I visited Duxford IWM, Greenham RAF base (Eisenhower visited the 502nd/101st on June 5), Aldbourne/Uppottery (506th/101st), and Slapton Sands (Operation Tiger) last summer, and I really enjoyed seeing all of the artifacts from WWII at various locations.

The British archeology show Time Team has done a few WWII related dig episodes. A Spitfire in France in one, a B-17 crash site in England in another, and the Band of Brothers Easy Company barracks site in England.

Edited to add: they did a show on Operation Cobra last year as well that I haven't seen.

Those channels are awesome.

One channel I like is Crocodile Tear. Basically he finds equipment or personal items of a Soldier and does the research on that particular individuals life (or death). Most of his stuff is focused on southern France from operation dragoon in Aug 1944.
