This has been posted before, probably 15 years ago. I can't search far enough back to find it.

If this is the same photo from back then, it is the father of a guy I used to work with.

He made it home and at the time of the last post he was still alive and living in Bryan.

There was a thread here on it and it was discussed in other forums. Guess somebody spliced into their own youtube vid for All Along the Watchtower.

I flew choppers in Vietnam and have seen this pic posted a bunch. First he's sitting in the left seat of a Huey gunship, likely a UH-1B model. That means he's a co-pilot. That contraption hanging in front of him is the minigun sight/trigger. 2nd it has to be early like pre-1967 because of the white helmet. Everyone used the OD green helmets, why wear something that sticks out? The guy in the picture has to know this pic is out there, yet no one knows who he is. It was even in the Ken Burns documentary. So maybe he didn't make it home?

Impression I got from all the discussions was that he was a Q who made it home, and if he wanted to talk about it he could. And if he doesn't want to talk about, we'll understand that too.
