Passing a note along, that the Bush Galley is currently closed for renovations. First major one since 2009. Still lots to see/do, including a new Exhibit called "The Rescue". It is based on a true story of a US Navy Submarine rescuing missionaries from the Philippines when Japan attacked. It is about 20-minutes long, and you walk into several rooms while the story is told by a young girl who survived the ordeal. You end up in a replica of a US sub, and come under attack from the Japanese Navy. The benches you are sitting on tilt up/back as the sub dives/surfaces. It is very cool.....worth checking out if you are in town.

Here is some details on the Museum/renovations....

I lived in Kerrville for a time when I was a sports journalist and loved visiting this museum. I still recommend it to folks surprisingly often.
Thanks and gig'em
