Happy Veterans Day to all the veterans on TA!
My Grandfather fought and was severely wounded in the Meuse-Argonne Offensive in 1918. He survived and always called today "Armistice Day" when it was made a federal holiday by Congress in 1938 to honor WWI veterans.
In 1954 President Dwight Eisenhower signed a new bill making it Veterans Day as we now know it, to honor all Veterans that have served in the U.S. Military.

My grandfather was in the 32nd Infantry Division during WW1 and had been in line to go to the front the day of the armistice. After the war, he was very active in local American Legion and Armistice/Veterans Day was his favorite day. One of his sons-in-law (my uncle) served with US Army Air Force in Italy in WW2. His other son-in-law (my dad) served in Korean War (3rd Infantry Division) and was wounded (shot in back and foot).

My best friend, who recently passed in July, served in Desert Storm.

So, a salute and hearty thank you to all who served.

Any recommendations on short(er) documentaries related to Armistice Day? We homeschool, so the intent would be to have them (or the family) watch something to remember the history behind it all.
