* Tannehill has handled all of the attention he has been receiving as of late very well. He’s probably feeling a little overwhelmed right now, but seems to be handling it all very well.
* He has called all 32 NFL teams recently in regards to Tannehill, and about half of them talked to him. He really feels good about the situation in Miami and believes that Cleveland will go with a non-quarterback player with their fourth pick. If that happens, there is a good chance that Tannehill gets to number eight and he would be surprised if the Dolphins didn’t take him then. They really like him, and the ability to walk into the meeting room on day one and know exactly what is going on is invaluable. If he goes past eight, Seattle, Philadelphia and Cleveland again all have picks that they would possibly use on him. He told Tannehill a couple of nights ago that he needs to be prepared to go anywhere from number three to number 22.
* Tannehill is prepared to go anywhere and doesn’t really care where he goes. He subscribes to the theory that the place that drafts him is the place that wants him the most, which is where he wants to be.
* The good news is that through all of the negativity some people spew about him not being worth a top-10 pick, only 32 guys have the ability to pull the trigger and bring him into their team. Those guys are very astute and won’t be swayed by fans’ opinions. They will evaluate him for what he has been, what he is and what he can be. What is ahead of him is always a key component when talking to teams. When he finds teams being hesitant that Tannehill has only started 19 games in his career, he tells them that they should be excited instead because his best football is ahead of him. The problem with that is, if you’re drafting a guy in the first round, you are almost always counting on him to be an impact player in year one. He’s convinced that Tannehill is ready to step in and compete for a starting job, especially in a place like Miami where he already knows the system.

Tannehill has all of the physical tools needed to be a franchise quarterback, and that combined with his meteoric rise up the draft board has made him a polarizing figure and the subject of much debate. He’s become the focal point of all the mock drafts because he brings suspense to the table. There is no more suspense with Andrew Luck and Robert Griffin III, so the media is trying to find the next best thing, and that happens to be Tannehill. The attention on him has been amplified by only starting 19 games, and that along with the other factors, has made him the focal point of sports writers across the country.
