Enjoyed the article Mr. Walker. I haven't even searched my aging football memory in a while for those stories.

As a young kid whose only favorite team was Texas A&M, #8 was the first college quarterback that cured my first case of A&M woes.

A little flashback- I had several Southwest Conference Ray Herndon books starting back from '71 that I used to look at and read as a kid in the mid 70s. I was waiting for the game stories to get better and you played a big role in doing just that under Coach Bellard, really right before those books stopped getting published.

Thanks for sticking with the Coach and 'not going into the SEC too early'.
