Aggies to remember John David Crow with helmet decal
This season the Aggies will feature a moving tribute to John David Crow, who died on June 17 at age 79.
A black sticker depicting the signature Heisman pose interpolated with Crow's number 44 will be placed dead center on the back of each Texas A&M helmet, honoring the school's first Heisman winner.
After winning the 1957 Heisman Trophy, Crow went on to play 11 NFL seasons and later served as the school's athletic director from 1988 to 1993. He retired in College Station and was a fixture in Aggieland until his death.
