It was 29 years ago on October 18, 1996. It's ironic looking back at this game that it contains so many things the zoo talks about these days: Murray at QB (albeit the father), power running game, snaps under center, throwing downfield, swarming D with solid LB play. I can remember this game like it was yesterday. Thompson hauling that TD at the end was a great moment in A&M football lore. I found this clip online - music is terrible but the memories it brings back are amazing. I remember thinking back then "wow, 31-30 is a ton of points to put on the scoreboard." It was, at least, back then. Support the team. They'll bounce back. The fightin' Aggie football spirit lives on.

Great Kyle Field memory! We were down 17-0. Old Ags screaming their lungs out! Never gave up. Beautiful day... as opposed to the flood of '84.

Pulled 2nd deck, 50 yard line, row 1 for that game. Best seats I ever had! BTW, #17 on the TD reception is Devante Harris' dad.

Freshman year - greatest game I've ever seen.

It's been a long time, but apparently you could use the middle of the field back then? So strange.

I was in the 3rd deck, east side for the comeback from behind to Okie Lite. Biggest comeback from behind win ever at Kyle Field.

Having been born in the early 60's to a very red ass Ag , living in Waco I attende every game between the good guys & those girly boys from S.5th St in Waco from 1967- the last meeting in 2011
The '86 game was just flat out unbelievable .Baylor could have put it away in the 1st qtr. But OL Grant got greedy ...He pulled the same brain fart at Kyle in '92, but that's for another story...

I had no voice after that game....

One of the happiest post games at Northgate ever!!!!!

Stetson... those seats you describe were at one point reserved for the students that worked in the ticket office and at G. Rollie on pull days - I too sat in those seats multiple times... thx Lisa K.!!

Thompson was in an Animal Science class I had that semester - he never had to study for test the remainder of that semester

Its Texas Aggies, dammit

Bare chicka bare nare! Great porno music in the background of the video ;-)

I still remember being at that game my sophomore year. I was afraid Baylor was going to get a second defeat in as many years that day, but was proud to see the Aggies pull of the defeat at home in one of the best games I ever witnessed.

Gig 'em, Aggies!!!

I was there for that game, I was in the third deck as a freshman down on the south end, so I had a perfect view of the winning touchdown. I had a couple people from my hometown with me who were in JuCo and considering coming to Aggieland. After that week, it was sealed and they all came down for the next few years. Great game.

The other thing I remember about that game was how incredible the weather was. That day has always been the benchmark for football watching weather in my mind. I was on the 2nd deck somewhere taking in some vitamin C.

Also, I was probably wearing a Billy Squier concert shirt and some OP courduroy shorts. I don't ever remember wearing maroon to a home game.

Johnny Holland made that game worth the price of admission alone. Not to mention Kevin Murray on offense. No words to describe how exciting the Wrecking Crew was.
