Notes from Olin's thoughts on Madubuike

• Everyone has raved on the guy. He was supposed to be a defensive end, but he grew into be a defensive tackle. Has any of the quickness or speed been affected by his growth? If they have a need at defensive end, he is a candidate to slide back outside.
  
  
• The characteristic of a great defensive tackle is one that can move like a defensive end. At his size, if he can continue to move like a defensive end, he could end up being really special. I want to see it before I say he is going to be really great, but he has great size and quickness. Quickness is important. I’ve seen some undersized defensive tackles dominate because of their quickness.
  
  
• Maybe in a 4-3 look, sometimes you switch him out to end. There are so many things you can do with a guy of that size, strength, and quickness. If everything we are hearing about him is on point, Madubuike could turn out to be really special.
  
  
• You wonder if he’s going to be in the starting lineup, and if he’s not, how long will it take to get him in there as a starter? That defensive tackle position is really strong and he is one of the reasons we think the defensive line is going to be a strength.
