With another successful weekend for Aggie Athletics behind us, it's time to take a look at the biggest storylines from Around Aggieland. On Monday's edition of TexAgs Radio, the fish bowl's own Richard Zane shared an update from A&M soccer, golf and more.

Football (5-1)
The Aggies are up to No. 5 (ahead of Florida) in this week’s AP Poll, and came in at No. 6 (behind Florida) in this week’s Coaches’ Poll.

Texas A&M travels to Knoxville this weekend for the first time in history. Tennessee owns the all-time series edge at 2-1, but the Aggies won the only matchup between the two schools as members of the SEC (2016). Kickoff is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. CT on ESPN from Neyland Stadium.

Soccer (6-1)
On Friday night, the Aggies defeated LSU, 2-1, at Ellis Field.

  • 10’ - 1-0 - Barbara Olivieri (A&M)
  • 26’ - 1-1 - Tiyana Alexander (LSU)
  • 36’ - 2-1 - Jimena Lopez (A&M

It’s matchday as No. 8 Texas A&M hosts Auburn this afternoon in the regular-season finale at Ellis Field. Kickoff is schedule for 3:00 p.m. CT and can be found for streaming on SEC Network+. This match is the make-up for the Sept. 27 date that was canceled due to COVID-19 protocols.

  • If the Aggies win today, they will clinch a share of the Southeastern Conference regular-season championship with Arkansas.

Volleyball (4-2)
Bird Kuhn and the Aggies are back in action this Friday, November 13, for the first of two road matches with the Arkansas Razorbacks in Fayetteville.

  • Top performer: Courtney Dow (senior from Frisco) finished tied for 7th: 74-69-73--216
  • Amber Park (senior from Allen) finished tied for 13th: 74-72-73--219

On Sunday, men’s golf began play in the Jerry Pate National Invitational at the Old Overton Club in Birmingham, Alabama. Round 2 is today, and the tournament wraps up on Tuesday.
