Key notes from Olin’s analysis of Peevy
-
I like Jayden Peevy. He had a good season last year, and I thought he was really close to being even more impactful on the stat sheet. He has the ability to rush the passer from the inside, and he even made that big fumble recovery and return against Mississippi State. This is a guy who decided to come back for his senior season because he knew he could really help his draft status.

He is one of those Clydesdales out there... just a huge man. 34 tackles for an interior defensive lineman is nothing to scoff at. Guys in the middle are sometimes just space eaters, but not with Jayden Peevy. He makes plays.

He brings veteran leadership to this defense. When he decided to come back, you knew the defensive tackles were going to be in a good place. He is one of those guys on this team that I feel like we haven't quite seen just how good they can be. If we see that in 2021, it could bode well for Texas A&M.

Jayden Peevy is one of the guys who looks like he's really helped cultivate Jimbo Fisher's culture within the program. He is a great example for the young, extremely talented guys below him. He's the guy that always seems to be there and is inches away from the sack... he creates a lot of pressure. Inside push makes a quarterback so uncomfortable because it pushes the offensive linemen into their lap. that's what Jayden Peevy provides in my opinion.

He is a no-nonsense guy. He seems like one of those guys who doesn't always have something to say, but when he does people around him stop and listen. My memory might be letting me down here, but I seem to remember Jayden Peevy making a big fourth-down stop against South Carolina. I definitely see him as an NFL guy in the next steps of his playing career.
