2022 Cy-Park linebacker Harold Perkins commits to Texas A&M
The Aggies have secured another big 2022 commitment in a big way as Cy-Park five-star linebacker Harold Perkins announced his Texas A&M commitment at the Under Armour All-America Game in front of an ESPN audience.
Widely considered one of the top linebacking prospects in the country, Perkins chooses A&M over Texas and LSU in the end and also held offers from Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Oklahoma, Penn State and many others.
Not only is Perkins the state’s best linebacker in the class, but he’s also one of the best overall athletes in the greater Houston area. He has shown elite athleticism and has been an explosive playmaker on both sides of the ball throughout his high school career. He has also ran consistently in the 4.5 range in the 40-yard dash.
His tape is remarkable. The instincts, speed, aggression, burst and power are all on full display. You can view his senior highlights below.
A huge win for Jimbo and Tyler Santucci, Perkins continues Texas A&M’s big-time recruiting momentum in the greater Houston area. He is the seventh five-star commitment in the Aggies’ 2022 class, the third linebacker — joining Martrell Harris and Ish Harris — and the 28th commitment in what has been a historic 2022 class for Texas A&M.
