'It's surreal': Texas A&M signee Colton Thomasson makes it official
Smithson Valley OL Colton Thomasson has put pen to paper and is officially a Fightin' Texas Aggie. One of the newest A&M signees joined TexAgs Radio to discuss his emotions on the big day, when he will arrive on campus and his relationship with the other 2023 signees.
Key notes from Colton Thomasson interview
- It’s surreal. I remember being in eighth grade and going to the Texas A&M vs. Ole Miss game at Kyle Field and looking up at the stands. I knew then that this place is different. Now I’m officially signed with Texas A&M. It’s surreal.
- I am signing at my high school at 9 a.m., and then we are having a graduation party at my house. I leave for Texas A&M on Jan. 9.
- I love this moment. Every guy we tried to recruit, now we get to go be teammates together.
- I think I realized it on the day that I committed, on the drive to tell coach Jimbo Fisher. To show up to this very field house at 6 a.m. and not leave until 7 p.m. It’s been a journey, and it’s not done yet.
- I’m excited for A&M. I’ve been committed to A&M, and I’ve seen so much love. I’m excited to give it back.
- The linemen recruits are getting closer by the day. We are ready to chase a Joe Moore Award with coach Steve Addazio.
