2024 Elmhurst (IL) Immaculate Conception TE Eric Karner commits to Texas A&M
Texas A&M continued to stockpile talent in their tight end room today as 6-foot-5, 230-pound standout Eric Karner has announced his intentions to continue his athletic and academic career in Aggieland.
This decision comes on the heels of an official visit in College Station that Jimbo Fisher, James Coley and the rest of the staff knocked out of the park.
A product of Immaculate Conception High School in Elmhurst, Illinois, Karner brings a uniquely gifted athletic skillset to Texas A&M. On tape, he shows great fluidity in his route running and extremely natural pass-catching skills. He’s explosive off the line of scrimmage, and he uses his body well at the top of routes to create separation. His huge wingspan allows for a large catch radius, as well.
You can view his junior tape below.
Overall, Karner becomes A&M’s eighth member of the 2024 class. Considered one of the top overall prospects in the state of Illinois, he chose the Aggies over offers from Florida, Iowa, Michigan State, Alabama and plenty of others.
