Texas A&M adds former Kansas State DB Will Lee via transfer portal
There is always a need for top cornerbacks, and the Aggies have hit big in the transfer portal as Will Lee announced his plans to transfer from Kansas State to Texas A&M.
The 6-foot-3, 185-pound defender quickly made a name for himself in his only season at Kansas State. Nicknamed “The Blanket,” Lee recorded two interceptions, six pass breakups, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery and 42 total tackles on his way to honorable mention All-Big 12 honors as a sophomore in 2023.
As a freshman in 2022, Lee played at Iowa Western CC and signed with Kansas State over the likes of Iowa, Arkansas and Florida State. He is originally from St. Louis (MO) Kirkwood in the class of 2021.
After entering the portal, offers began to pour in from across the country. Ultimately he chose Texas A&M over the likes of Arkansas, LSU, Louisville, Michigan State, South Carolina, Ole Miss, Auburn and Florida.
