Texas A&M adds former Wisconsin DL Rodas Johnson via transfer portal

Mike Elko and Sean Spencer have landed a verbal commitment from transfer portal DL Rodas Johnson, who applied his trade for the Wisconsin Badgers from 2019-2023.

A 6-foot-2, 295-pound native of Columbus, Ohio, he comes to College Station with one year of eligibility remaining and is the Aggies' 14th transfer addition this offseason.

During his time in Madison, Johnson played in 38 games, during which he tallied 50 total tackles. Of those, 10 were made behind the line of scrimmage as tackles-for-loss and 2.5 were sacks. He also forced a fumble.

At his size/weight, he'll likely factor into the interior defensive line rotation for the Aggies next season.

Stay tuned. More inbound soon on this one and the rest of A&M's portal additions for our Premium subscribers.

He "plied" his trade. Not "applied".

Jeez, does Texags seriously not employ editors, or is a mastery of the English language no longer required for people who write for a living?

Learn to read. You just proved me right.

Good job of botching the quote, too.
