In order to change this, it would need to be a priority to the people in charge. I don't even think we have a marketing and branding team at this university, if we do they need some help. At midfield for every home game we have a beveled logo while our uniforms have zero bevel yet the coaching staff wears half bevel half non bevel. The Endzones have no bevel while the stadium graphics and fans are decked out in bevel. We are a mess, always have been. Some of our programs incorporate black or silver/gray while others don't. Some wear bevel some wear a T logo. We have no consistent look. We even have a third logo which is the A&M logo inside the Texas state outline, beveled of course. At least we ditched the T-star.

The best interpretation of non-beveled is Sharp is fine with all system schools using it as a system brand since it is familiar (though the current one is touched up a bit from when colleges did not control their trademarks.)

Sharp emphasizes the beveled one as in essence the premium version that represents only Texas A&M College Station.

The helmet version changed to align A and M under the serif around 2007. 1964 just had numbers. 1965 was the first version with aTm logo. That's 60 years of history we treat like since 1876. And within 42 years it was modified a lot.

There was a referendum in 2013 that showed current students favored the bevel 65% to 34%

Apparently there were a lot of snowflakes at A&M in 2013.

Did you see where our very own Lamara Distin now owns the NCAA record in high jump (2 meters). She grabbed the record at the SEC indoor championships. Amazing jump! And if you look closely on her left cheek (face!) you can see she has a small aTm sticker w/white bevel on the T. And you don't think that didn't have anything to do with her winning????

New course this fall:

Bevelometry 101
"Roswell, 1947, there was a uap (ufo) that crashed, in fact there were 2 uaps, 1 crashed and one flew away and the other one did not and was recovered by the US GOVERNMENT."

Are A&M's core values..optional? Who has the POWER to determine that? Are certain departments exempt? Why?

Somebody post the gif where it shows how the bevel is all effed up. That is what has me antibevel. Do it right, if you have to do it.

Like a lot of past Aggie decisions, we take an extra step no one asked for. Ditching the T Star on random merch or other miscellaneous products in the name of consistency for that beveled monstrosity, was how the university seal was changed. You can thank the marketing chief from a decade ago along with Sharp.

It actually is on the baseball hats and batting helmets. On the maroon hats, it is a White ATM with a Gray bevel, so it will blend in from a distance. When its a Maroon ATM with the White bevel it shows up much clearer and looks awful. If you notice, it seems like the Branding Wizards tend to favor the White ATM with the gray because it doesn't stand out as much, its almost like they are hiding it, so while not admitting how bad it is, they still keep it.

I hate it and I hope it goes away forever, but the University has continued to double down on it and it has crept its way onto campus more and more. When I was there from '05-'10 it was in use, but it was not the standard logo, the Block ATM was, but it transitioned somewhere in that window, right around the time we went from Coke to Pepsi and Nike to Adidas. Adidas REALLY leaned into the bevel. We could go with Puma for all I care if they got rid of that stupid bevel.

Bevel sucks.
There's a reason why it's not on the helmets, and the baseball teams caps, and so many other things.

Kill the bevel.
Keep the state of Texas outline if you want, but kill the bevels. All of em.
This

It's not even a correct bevel - it's something some idiot started, got bored with and decided halfway through that it was good enough and walked away from it.

Get rid of it completely. Block T. Simple, classic, easily recognizeable and doesn't look like Corky got a hold of a crayon on our logo.

I swear the switch from Coke to Pepsi was between '05-'10. Maybe you're right, but I remember the front of the coke vending machines changing during that time.

Might have been in waves. But my memory was a Coca Cola machine being replaced in the MSC. There is an announcement in 2010:

Offer NIL to any Aggie athlete who doesn't wear the Bevel, stays for four years and graduates. Any takers? LOL
