The last play is so disappointing ... It is almost like Thomas didn't even know the play

I'm going to give a little more context to this and explain a HUGE thing that's not covered in this video since I sat through the ND staff defensive breakdown of the game.

Notice how the "two longest completions of the game" were the first series?
Also notice how ND was in zone?

The ND staff wanted the Defense to settle down early & get into the game. No mistakes, no 1v1 blunders that give up the big play. Just sit back & let the game come to them early.

Then…go man v man across the field. Lights out.

Once ND went to their man coverage, A&M only moved the ball with ND penalties. A&M had about 60 passing yards the rest of the game total after the first 2 series when ND went to Man coverage.

Saw the all 22 film, & ND's secondary blanketed A&M's receivers.
And A&M ran all the motions too, but against Man coverage, it didn't matter.

3.3 yards per pass attempt.
That's abysmal.

The second interception was a very poor throw in addition to it being the wrong receiver. The receiver had no chance.

I wonder if Jadae didn't know it. He was supposed to drag his man into Noah.

just awful. All of it. Still in shock that this is the result of months of work and prep. Maybe they just are not any good or athletic. How many games do they get before that's the conclusion. Including last 2 years. The lack of team speed, conditioning, simplicity of the scheme. Didn't show much of running game, but the rb didn't look any better. Didn't see any holes and just piled into line. There seemed to be some gaps to gain at least a few yards. Going to be a long season.

Give the oline credit. Weigman had a little more time than last 2 years.

After seeing the different views on these plays I see where the criticism of the receivers is coming from. The routes are beyond easy to cover and they look lackadaisical running them to boot. Poor scheme, poor coaching, poor effort or all of the above because those guys should be more explosive than that. I'm surprised I didn't see some of the DBs eating a sack lunch back there it was so easy.

No no no....i read on TexAgs, multiple times, that when Elko mentioned Connor's feet being a big part of his problem that night, that it was all a big bull**** excuse, and that the staff was clueless and all should be fired already.

1) I love McGee's film room. I am always reminded of how much I don't know about football.

2) How do they get the aerial camera shots from behind the QB? Is there a moving camera on a wire?

Please god play Henderson this week with the 1s.

That was one of worst performances I have seen from an aggie qb. I can't take this **** no more lol

Great content from Stephen McGee as usual. In the 2019 road game at LSU, Kellen Mond was 10/30 passes for 92 yards, with 0 touchdowns and 3 interceptions. That was probably the worst overall performance for a Texas A&M quarterback since joining the SEC in 2012, but it was a road game against the eventual 15-0 national CFP champion. In contrast, Conner Weigman went 12/30 passes for 100 yards with 0 touchdowns, and 2 interceptions in a home game against Notre Dame. That was arguably the worst performance in a home game in the same span.

Other horrible QB performances in home games:

2015: 26-10 loss to Auburn: Kyler Murray 13/23 passes for 105 yards, 0 touchdowns, and 3 interceptions
2015: 41-23 loss to Alabama: Kyle Allen 20/40 passes for 263 yards, 1 touchdown, and 3 interceptions
2012: 24-19 loss to LSU: Johnny Manziel 29/56 passes for 276 yards, 0 touchdowns, and 3 interceptions

Murray, Allen, and Manziel each had one home game in which they threw 3 interceptions, but they still completed at least half of their pass attempts. The same cannot be said for Weigman against Notre Dame.

That's why I've stopped conversing in the zoo. It's insufferable. Too many people that have zero knowledge of game beyond high school (and fantasy football for most), but they are willing to die on their sword based on their remedial observations and group think. It's to the point it's funny and more entertaining to just read.

Tuck the damn shirt in Richard.
That shirt tail hanging out makes you look short.
Nice overview Stephen.
Conner still will be the starter, but I want to see Henderson or Reed the weekend.
No excuses for either of them not playing.

The game was on sky am. I watched the whole game on sky am because you get to hear PA and crowd noise and do not have to listen to interviews and talking heads.
