Is it a coincidence that A&Ms and tu schedule align are both weak enough so that only the winner of our game can get in to the playoffs?

I mean if we had to have played Bama and won or Georgia and won we would probably be in even with a loss to Texas assuming only two losses. But both SOS sucks. And they each need the other school or they don't make it in with enough quality wins.

Coincidence? I wonder.

A&Ms SOS is 21st. That doesn't suck. It's higher than Ole Miss.

Texas SOS is 56. That does suck. It's lower than BYU.

Well, if we would have won against SC, ND or both the outcome of tu wouldn't have mattered

After we play our final cupcake what is our SOS, everybody plays 3 cupcakes seems likely our sos will go down and tu will be playing an SEC game that should help there sos

And BDF schools because they play 9 conference games instead of 8 often have higher sos ratings
Also just guessing the difference numerically speaking between 20-30 is very small

Same thing happens with RPI there's a spot in the list that the scores get bunched up you can continue to put them
In numeric order but looking at the underlying value the teams are basically tied

Did tu's SOS start at 56? Seems like it might have been higher when everyone thought Michigan and Okie were decent.

sip's SOS is the weakest the SEC has ever seen.

Coincidence?

Tin Foil Hat

Why do people get upset about watching what is clearly controlled and scripted.

BYU officiating saved their season.
OH State 20 million dollar payroll
TX 5 million dollar QB room
OR Largest Athletic Apparel company in the world and pulled a shenanigan intentional penalty at OSU
ND - Social promotions despite losing to N IL

CFB is a drama fest not a true sport.

Exactly. They weren't "given" a weak schedule. It just turned out that OU and Michigan started sucking this year.

The majority of the conversation has been on tus entry into the SEC and their weaker conference schedule especially when compared to OU as the other newcomer.

Their first SEC game was against Mississippi State

OU is technically an SEC game but most will agree it's its own thing with a long Big 12 history

Then they finally get a true SEC challenge and it's Georgia at home and they **** the bed

Then they were given the latest first SEC road game in history, Oct 27, against historic bottom feeder Vandy (which was not predicted to be better than OU and michigan).

I know that was kind of confusing to read but no other SEC team has had their first conference road game that late in the season, let alone against that level of opponent

Florida and Kentucky at home......

That leaves Arkansas as one of their toughest games

Their only challenge was always us and Georgia and they got to split that home/away favoring the tougher one at home

Michigan and OU was just icing on the cake, we could go on and on about non-conference too

Exactly

Because OU is at a neutral site but was counted as a tu rise game this year, they only had 3 true sec road games so the fact that they even got vs day as one of them is schedule fixing at its finest

Ca do should not have even been in their schedule: they should have had ole miss or Tennessee or even South Carolina as a road game

This makes no sense.

Neither team's schedule is a problem.

The problem is we've lost 2 games and, if we beat them, they'll have lost 2 games.

How does somebody give a team a schedule so weak while also causing them to pick up multiple losses?

You could give ou the weakest schedule in the sec but their win record would be .500 at best. It's not rocket science.

Reality:

Georgia >>> LSU both at home

Both avoided: Tenn, Bama, Ole Miss

The rest of the conference are scrubs, SC, Vandy, Flrd, AU, Missouri, Kentucky etc

UM/ND both trash (road v home)

Schedules are incredibly similar with Texas playing the most difficult opponent.

The "Best" team A&M has played is LSU which is the "best" win of the two. They also have two worse losses.

SOS equations are arguing semantics between the two.

Are you seriously comparing ND (a likely playoff team) and Michigan (a likely .500 record team)???

Playing a mediocre team on the road is not the equivalent of playing a very good team at home.

lol - agree.

Michigan will barely make a bowl. ND will likely be in the playoff. But yeah, totally equal.

Truth… unsure of who the starting QB should be, lost our top 2 RBs, no proven playmakers at WR, can't set the edges on defense, secondary is suspect, and tackling is an issue.

Truth is, we should be grateful for we stand, and HOPE for the best.
