He calls out the problems VERY early when he sees it.

-He called out Sumlin's poor performance and behavior when defending Sumlin was still the popular thing.
-He called out Jimbo for being extremely selective with who he answers to during press conferences while Jimbo was still well liked.

Basically, he smelled out the imminent failures of those two coaches and started blasting them when they were still well liked by the TexAgs members.

My guess with why most hate him here despite him being correct with his opinions all along is that they just remember the fact that they hated him for his negative press coverage but forget WHY they hated him in the first place by the time the two got fired.

Pretty stupid to be honest considering how Brent Z is the ONLY Aggie journalist who actually does journalist work and start calling out failures in this program. He deserves a LOT more love and respect.

You could say that. What's hilarious is that people that will lie through their teeth will not tolerate being lied to. I've seen or know of (not mine b/c I don't practice in that area) juries that will convict someone just because they caught him in a lie. Not that there isn't ANY other evidence, but without the lie, he might have walked.

The thing is, I guarantee that if you followed 9 of those 12 around for a week and you'd see more dishonesty on display than you could imagine. With their spouse, employer, you name it.

But more to the point of this thread: people don't like being told, "I told you so" and or being called out for much of anything. IF BZ did indeed find those things out about those coaches (I knew they were bad fits early on, so it isn't surprising he knew) and said as much, I can see people around here not liking it.

Those are small minded people that need to go do other things.

I recently saw an old book of dog tricks and the cover had a dog with a newspaper his mouth. It took me back to when I was growing up and my dog Colt would fetch me the paper every morning and I would read the sports section while eating breakfast. I really only read about A&M sports and Brent Z was the writer who mostly covered A&M. BZ is probably my favorite sports writer and I never understood the hate shown towards him by posters here. It is so weird to me how the same people who do nothing but *****, moan and sulk about how bad they think this program is are the same people who will hate any writer or reporter who has ever had anything negative to report about A&M.

Brent Z does actual journalism unlike around here that's simply propaganda for Texas A&M. TexAgs won't say a negative thing about a coach until they get the word from the donors that the coach is a dead man walking.
