Is he still writing for the Chronicle? Haven't seen his name for weeks.
Peace for Ukraine!
He's taking a year off and wrote just a gorgeous piece about writing and family in the Chron a week ago.texag101 said:

Yeah, I never got the Brent Z hate. He just calls it like he sees it, which is what he's supposed to do.

He calls out the problems VERY early when he sees it.
-He called out Sumlin's poor performance and behavior when defending Sumlin was still the popular thing.
-He called out Jimbo for being extremely selective with who he answers to during press conferences while Jimbo was still well liked.
Basically, he smelled out the imminent failures of those two coaches and started blasting them when they were still well liked by the TexAgs members.
My guess with why most hate him here despite him being correct with his opinions all along is that they just remember the fact that they hated him for his negative press coverage but forget WHY they hated him in the first place by the time the two got fired.
Pretty stupid to be honest considering how Brent Z is the ONLY Aggie journalist who actually does journalist work and start calling out failures in this program. He deserves a LOT more love and respect.

The College of Liberal Arts was a remarkably bad college with a number of bad deans, but taking away Journalism might be the worst thing any of their deans ever did.
Its why the writers here only put out what people want to hear during the preseason.PeekingDuck said:
