another correction...

Sherman's recruiting and development in the secondary was atrocious

A&M only had 2 DB's drafted between 2008 and 2014

6th round pick and 7th round pick

Look at Sherman's record.

NFL: 5943 (.578)

NCAA: 2527 (.481)

Overall: 84-70 (.545)

He was a bad hire and we were right to cut him loose when we did.

JFF wouldnt have won the heisman and probably wouldn't have started.

Our w/L record for 2012 likely wouldnt have been as good, but our recruiting would have been better

I don't remember exactly when it was, but Rossley basically said Johnny was the guy if Tannehill went down. Showers was the backup, but that's because they didn't want to burn Johnny's shirt with garbage time playing. Rossley was really sold on Johnny. I think he definitely starts 2012.

2012 record probably would have been about the same. Go back and look at how the SECW finished. Auburn and Arkansas were horrifically bad. I think Ole Miss was 5-7 or 6-7. MSU finished I think 8-5. The only really great trans we played were Florida, Alabama, and LSU. I don't think it's unrealistic that we take one of those, and then we're even.
