I would bet most of you wish he had eligibility left!!
Nobody hates him, but it's OK to wish he had:
1) been raised better by parents who just let him do whatever and didn't notice his psych issues
2) been more serious about football at A&M
3) been more serious about football after A&M
My now long deceased HS coach said there are 3 types of great players:
1) Those that are naturally gifted
2) Those who work their asses off to make up for their lack of natural gifts
3) Those who are naturally gifted and work their asses off.
JFF was definitely a #1. But it's OK to regret that he didn't make the effort to be a #3, because he might have been one of the greatest of all time at any level if he had.
