I would imagine the big reason was money. Let's get real, if they are starting and leave most likely it was because of a better offer. He is not taking a.cut in pay.to go anywhere.

So, this isn't sour grapes but he wasn't exactly a world beater here.

Decent in the red zone but kinda pedestrian otherwise and never lived up to the hype.

I think he's a world beater with a QB that can deliver an accurate deep ball or a jump ball

Hopefully we see that in our QB this season.

For those looking for a tl;dr, his stated reasons for leaving were:

  • He was told to come to Georgia to "be great", and bought in.
  • James Coley, one of our old coaches that he apparently gets along with well, is on Georgia's staff now.
  • He said he had to be "mature enough" to make the decision.

Don't forget his comment about Aggie Dad 26 constantly berating him on the message boards, which is what ultimately drove him away

He gave Klein's system a year. He has one more year to put out good tape and try and have a run at a career after college. He likely didn't think this was the place to do it, and I don't blame him. Klein's offense historically hasn't produced NFL wide receivers. And he's going to one of the best college football programs in the country.

Can't fault him for that.

We tend to over hype our wide receivers each year For a few years it was Chapman, and then it became Thomas. KC will probably be the heir apparent. When they don't live up to those expectations, it plays out on the message boards. Hopefully, KC doesn't get too much hype this spring and summer.

I know people give Klein a hard time but Mike Bobo?? He doesn't exactly light the world on fire with his play calling.
