Read a blurb on USA Today that Scooby Williams and Daymion Sanford will be out of the starting/rotational depth chart.

Huh????

Trust the process. Never as bad as it seems.

Saw a similar blurb and think poorly written (potentially) as it was talking about a couple freshmen (esp Cali kid) who are vying for 2 deep time.

With that said, Sanford's Dad been pretty vocal on how his son is ready to be a main player and his turn.

So if they got beaten out do we not want the best players playing? I mean I don't know if they did or did not but if those Cali guys are better then, good.

Williams and Sanford played faster than our other LBs last year so if someone passed them (and in this case multiple someones) then that's a positive. Any notes on who that would be? We've recruited ok at LB the last two years so if Jernigan or Lockhart developed that would be great.

If someone actually has moved up above them, my money is on Lockhart.

Although they do have a txfr portal LB visiting (or has visited) from a smaller school that some say we have offered or close too.

So maybe there will be some turnover or lingering injuries concerning the coaching staff.

Thankfully, staff also pursuing DL from Boise St which also means depth/experience in the middle an issue (think we cannot rely on fish/inexperience in the SEC and 'think' we are going to be successful; think the fish inside DL/DT didn't look ready to me, but who knows)

If they got beat out, so be it. No prob with that whatsoever. Just didn't know if it was that or other possible "off the field" issues.
Strange part is that Williams was playing pretty well towards back half of season last year…wonder why the regression.

Personnally think poorly written and not proof-read and would bet the stmt was meant to be that Williams and Sanford will be in the rotational depth chart. Albeit, no idea regarding the injury status of Williams.

I believe Sanford played while Scooby was held out due to injury.
