Trev Alberts wasnt brought in to overhaul coaching and the culture. He was brought in to overhaul the money, put A&M in a driver's seat position in regards to NIL and the future of college sports. He is doing all of those things really well. Alberts has a goal of being a power player in the industry and he is doing just that while repositioning A&M by being on committees as opposed to previous ADs that did whatever tu said or were so aloof they were iced out of everything.
The next AD will inherit an athletic department that is much better financially positioned to make any big hires it needs to while attracting top tier talent and if needed overhaul the culture behind the scenes. If coaches are losing then he will fire them if possible, it is pretty cut and dry especially in the big 3. He is a professional he isnt going to be like Bjork and ramble on with his foot in his mouth. I question some of y'alls professional experience in corporate America if you think Trev isnt doing his job well.
Thank you for eloquently making the point I was trying to communicate. We have to accept what his job actually is. And like you said, he's doing his job quite well. We all want his job to be winning titles/on field success but that ain't what he's here to do right now. Accept it and move on. And to your point, the next guy will be primed for success with the right hires. We just got a road to get there.
Yep
Everyone wants the quick fix but oftentimes there isn't one.
