The team doesn't look sharp nor at times if effort is really there. Assuming playing to level of opponents as they look unmotivated. Beginning to wonder if Elkos yelling culture isn't working.

They have to improve a ton to be competitive vs ND. Hoping they can get motivated and play better (issues and errors everywhere), but typically a telltale sign of when they look like this means yet another mediocre season.

Agreed. We are not seeing the results we should see for the amount of money poured into this program, including players being paid now.


I understand. I've lived through it too. But pretending this year relies on anything that happened the previous year is a fan mental disability. It's not actually reality, even as miserable as it has been. The expectations in these non conference games are just completely out of hand…and that's not just us. Every big fanbase acts like the sky is falling if the final isn't 70-0. When in reality I'd take a 20 point low stress win in every single one of them. It was 30-6 at the half and 43-14 near beginning of the 4th. No one outside of our own fanbase is thinking that was an embarrassing game.

It's hard to coach discipline and self-care when you're that big.. people will not view you as a practice what you preach leader. Hard to imagine how he has the energy or stamina to do this at a high level.

I'm pleased … even relieved … that we won the game. My grave concern is the poor quality of football this team is displaying. It's just not good football … the kind that fans in and beyond the stadium can get behind. Unfotunsteky, I fear that we are already exposed.

You do not know that is what happened to him. Elko gave a firm No when asked if he would disclose what happened to Marcel. Wouldn't he say he just got the wind knocked out of him if it was just that?

Yeah it could be an injury that would keep Marcel out for the next game but why would Elko let ND know that? Make them prepare for multiple QBs.

I think Elko needs to undergo liposuction and then stay fit. He will die before he hits 60 at this rate.
