No different / harder than Jimbo's 2nd or 3rd year when we played 3 teams ranked #1 at the time and I think 6 top 10 teams.

ALL schedules are going to be hard, for everyone.

Nobody said they were a rival, it's just a recurring annual opponent. For most every SEC team they got 1 or 2 actual rivals then a fill in the blank.

Our toughest home games are against Tennessee and Texas, and I hope we can at least split them. Having road games against LSU, Missouri, Alabama, and Oklahoma in the same year is very brutal. I hope we can win at least one of those 4 road games. I won't be surprised if we go 6-1 home and 1-4 away for a 7-5 (4-5 SEC) regular season finish in 2026, which would mean 5-5 against Power 4 opponents. To reach even 8-4, we would need to go 6-4 against Power 4 opponents.

Hopefully, we get a more balanced home/away scheduling dynamics that spreads out the home and away games. I don't want a repeat of 3 consecutive SEC home games followed by 3 consecutive road games in a span of 4 weeks.

Throw in that the Ags will be breaking in an entirely new offensive line and it may be a rough season.

I can handle LSU back to back road years since it means getting LSU and Texas as opposites. Playing both on the road sucks. At least now we get either LSU or Texas at home every season.

Auburn will continue playing road games against Alabama and Georgia in even years, which they have been doing since 2014. Because Auburn hosted Georgia in 2012 and 2013, they host Alabama and Georgia in odd years but play road games against both rivals in even years. I am grateful we won't continue playing road games against both Texas and LSU in odd years beyond this year.

Georgia is making road trips to both Texas and Texas A&M in 2027.

The ideal year to make a run, according to this schedule, would be the 2028 season. The home slate includes Texas, Alabama, South Carolina, and Oklahoma, not to mention a non-conference game against Louisville season ticket holders will be getting their money's worth in that year.

This high-powered 2026 recruiting class will be juniors that season, and the road slate is relatively manageable the trip to Baton Rouge will always be tough, but the other road games at Arkansas, Kentucky, and Tennessee aren't too terrible (depending on how the Vols look).

I dunno about that . Schedule strength has become a bigger component in the playoff selection now and that prompted the decision to go to 9 SEC games . BIG teams are gonna have to play some serious OOC games now to have any chance to match up in that metric because they simply don't have as many strong programs in their conference. Now that Vandy is good there aren't any sure cupcakes in the SEC.

I will believe it when I see it on the SOS being a factor. I think the committee talks a big game, but they will still pick the 10-2 team over a 9-3 team most of the time if there is not a H2H in there. Hope I'm wrong.
