Our win against the Irish, on the road is now a very good win. We should be no lower than 6, but should be 5

ATM it's a top 5 team. Hell, not even a top 10. Top 20, sure.

Really doubt Ole Miss jumps to top 5 for beating 4 and Penn State will not stay top 5 without a quality win.

Top 4 will be OSU, Miami, Oregon, and Oklahoma. Someone has to be 5. Tech and tu didn't play, Ole Miss would need to jump 8, Bama would need to jump 12. I don't think either happens.

Only possible one to jump would be Indiana, and their win wasn't particularly inspiring either.

I think we move to 7 and get leap frogged by IND and OLM.

ND blasted Arkansas, we will be a top 5 team this week and the narrative will still be a backhanded bolster of their CFP chances.

I think we will be 7. And whether are not we ARE 7 is not important right now. We are in a position to be in the playoffs and whether or not we will the games will determine our fate, not a poll 1/3 of the way through the season.

Again, people say this without watching any of the teams they'd so quickly throw in to their top 5.

Which teams look flawless this year?

Which teams haven't had any games that made you say "they need to clean some things up"?

This isn't the early 2000 when you had like 5 "elite" teams and then a huge gap. Eery team has flaws. Every team has things to clean up. A&M has shown more than most teams in the country ON THE FIELD.

The same people that complain when people talk about good showings in losses and how winning is all that matters, suddenly want to get real nuanced about which wins get credit and which ones don't.

Hitting the QB before he gets the ball into the air helps mitigate phantom PI calls (Matt Loeffler and his crew invented a couple of those on critical 3rd downs in 2023 to ensure LSU came back to beat A&M and Jayden Daniels would keep his Heisman chances alive).
