1. Black unis
2. Aggies script on the helmet
3. Players kneeling / praying before the game
4. Boerkircher shoving KC and a defender into the endzone
5. State going for it on 4th down, crowd noise, clock winding down, call time-out
6. The freshmen RB who bounced off the OL and then took off
7. Reed with the pump fake and scramble
8. Dez -- name missing from the box score

I enjoyed winning handedly against an undermatched Miss st team

Seems like this should be the norm, yet somehow it hasn't been

I mean the black unis were kinda the least obscure thing about that game

Dez Ricks is probably the most improved player on the team from last year's roster

#6 play just came out of nowhere and probably fired me up the most.

Item 4 needs more recognition, it was major.

Boerkircher seemed to be involved in most big plays throwing key blocks.

Not complaining obviously, but am curious why Boerkircher's block wasn't a block in the back. He seemed to pick up the db by the back and push him into the endzone.

I loved that we totally imposed our will on them in the 4th quarter. It turned into a bloodbath.

I enjoyed that we watched this - and the 4th quarter of the tu loss to Florida - at a place called "The Sip Yard" (in Port A).

They were never actually going for it on 4th down. They wanted us to jump offside

I loved that I was sitting next to a young man and his seventh grade son who were attending their first Aggie game. They were soaking it all in, probably amazed by some things that we take for granted.

You and I have very different definitions of the word obscure.

My first thought was that he was going to get flagged for holding but definitely could be a block in the back too. Not sure if there is an exception for moving the pile.

Also was wondering about the missed PAT. Is there an exception for holders that they are not considered "down" if they are holding the ball with a knee on the ground? Had never thought about that before.

Not a block in the back if the defender has his arms around the ball carrier. You're allowed to push a ball carrier forward now.

I'll take the obscure fact that we now have a winning record against Miss St for the first time since (checks notes) 2015.

I was coming here to ask the question too. It seems like holding may have been in order, but I'm lazily waiting for someone to give me the official link to college football rules regarding this situation.

I was at the game, and I loved the operation blackout, 108,000+ fans for the 2nd straight home game, a dominant 4th quarter to pull away, and 3rd straight win over Mississippi State for the first time ever. Since joining the SEC, we are 8-6 against Mississippi State, including 5-2 at Kyle Field with all 5 wins by 10+ points.

I wonder how Rivers Hugley, who said we she didn't fear A&M, reacted after we smoked Mississippi State 31-9.

100%. He went from probably being our worst DB, to not only being our best, but also one of the best players on the whole defense.

That's a carry, not a block. Pretty sure he was credited with 2 yards for that.

This… love that. When you've been going to games for 35+ years you tend to take it for granted. It's cool when you see it from a kids perspective, especially for their first time.
