I mean, it's technically correct that tu's defense kept them in the game, but they just gave up almost 400 yards to a bottom 20 CFB team and allowed a 78% completion rate from the SEC's worst passing offense. Not exactly elite.

Part of that has to do with the offense being so bad that the defense was on the field the entire game. They still only gave up 13 points and made the game winning plays in Overtime. They only allowed 14 points against OSU and 6 points against OU.

I'm not saying they're going to shut us down completely but if you think we're rolling into Austin and dropping 35+ points then you're gonna be in for a rough night. The game will come down to Marcel executing when we need him to, and the defense continuing to make Arch look like ass.

Keep in mind that in all of these remaining big games we will have to be beating the refs as well because they're big mad that their beloved horns aren't likely making the playoffs.

This. I think straight up we can handle l'chatons d'marais with some margin. But you'd better believe the refs will not stop them from ANYTHING illegal. I'm calling it now, Cashius will get chop blocked at least half a dozen times (and precisely 0.0 flags will be thrown).

A future in the pros as bright as Howell's -- is that something that could form the basis for a legal remedy if the refs patently allow severe abuses (like chop blocks) by the opposing OL, and it leads to a major injury? And if so would the remedy be against the refs as individuals, the conference, and/or the NCAA?

And if we keep winning, the tu game won't be a "must win" game to make the playoffs. Hopefully by then we are a lock and the sips only chance at happiness is to try and beat us before heading to the Duke's Mayo bowl where Sark can have a different white cream dumped on his face.

Look at it this way with LSU.

Ole Miss barely beat Arkansas in similar fashion as us and would have beaten LSU pretty good if they hadn't had 14 penalties and two turnovers.

Control the clock, mistake free and pray sec officials aren't being biased to a team that's been in the SEC for over a hundred years and think we'll escape BR and all of it's alcoholic nut jobs.

This is going to sound cliche, but the team needs to worry about itself and execution. If the defense can play a good zone defense, we might have a special year.

The good news is we haven't lost any October or November games this year.

After yesterday, I'm not worried about lsu any more. Lsu fans are very fair weather fans, after losing yesterday lots of players have given up on this season and the alumni are trying to figure out to get rid of BK without spending a fortune.
We should win easily.

How about the Aggies concentrate on the next game before thinking of the next four, most important game in the SEC?
