Y'all seem surprised. Texas will easily get into the CFB playoff with a 9-3 record. At, 10-2, they'll be hosting. It will always be like that, until aTm passes them, for the number 1 program in Texas.

Texas has looked like dog sheet most of the season, but they have beat two top 10 teams this year.

You can qualify that all you want, but that fact remains.
Neither of those were real top 10 teams though, as will be told by the end of season rankings.

I hate tu as much as the next guy but ESPN is in the business of making money. They don't care about objectivity. tu gets attention whether they're good or bad. Like it or not, they're a national brand.

The way sip played against Vandy in the first half, they very well could beat anyone. Theyre not a team to underestimate but they are mentally weak.

F em. Hate them with 1000 generations of hatred and wish nothing but a mouthful of cow dung

"A&M"

I'm always leary when someone uses "aTm". Very common amongst non Ags.

Has anyone bothered to look at who the author of this article is or read it? It's the same lady who was roasted by everyone for saying the main reason she has Alabama above A&M because of SOR, when we actually have the better SOR. Ou and Texas aren't in her bracket. Do yall realize that every commentator and author at ESPN has their own take on the playoff picture?

This will be a pattern forever, until we get an AD who is willing to wage an all-out war on Disney & whichever other media powers see $$$ in waging an all-out war to prop up their high-investment properties.

I personally don't think Trev Alberts knows where to even start with this.

If you ask me, laying the groundwork for accountability & transparency in officiation is a great first step.

Trev, where are you on this?

[crickets chirp in the distance]

Funding sports journalism with some actual journalistic integrity would be another great first step.

Trev, where are you at on that?

Wait, Texas in with 3 losses?

OT twice to beat worst teams in our league.

This is kinda funny. Lose 1/4 of your games is not playoff worthy.
Nothing looks more foolish than tradition to those who have none.

So never. Even if A&M always had a better football team, media wouldnt allow such a thing.

As I said, qualify however you want.

Can make the argument that notre dame isn't very good (though will be ranked due to ease of schedule), and LSU won't be ranked either.

Taking off the maroon glasses, the facts are what they are. And it's up to folks to interpret them.

It's more imperative than it was before this past weekend for ATM to win out.

the advantage the blue bloods have is "loss forgiveness"

Alabama's loss to Florida State (4-4) was bad

the sips' loss to Florida (3-5) even worse

but they will probably get a pass for those L's

Don't think it is realistic, for us to be 2 and Georgia 5 we both have to beat tu which keeps them out.

Honestly, I don't think ESPN updates all of the inputs from their models.

Recall the graphic at the end of the A&M LSU game that showed out ESPN estimated win chances? Even Kirk and Kevin were laughing that it only have us a 35 (ish or so)% chance. Then tried to shift to Samford rather than trash the hand that feeds them.

I think they look at each one individually which results in impossible scenarios.

You have results where multiple teams have to both win and lose a particular game.

Any school that ever won anything would be a national brand with that much promotion behind them. Even in the GameDay opening, every other school gets a mention and screen, but they get three. Full Football Final features on beating nothing schools. Masking when they lose. It's everywhere.

The BOMC is real. This article from ESPN which gives their final CFP prediction has Alabama at 3, the good guys at 4, t.u. At 11 and OU at 12. They are trying hard to get the sips into the playoff and the land thieves are getting the side benefit of it. The traditional media sucks.

https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/46803597/projecting-college-football-playoff-top-12-week-10

They also pointed out that tu is likely out b/c an unranked (top 12) conf champion will take their spot.

tu also has to win out beating GA and A&M (which they don't think will happen).

Texas will play at Georgia on 11/15 after their 2nd bye week. I think Georgia will beat Texas to drop them to 7-3 (4-2 SEC) and eliminate them from the playoffs.

Oklahoma will play at Alabama on 11/15 after their 2nd bye week. I think Alabama will beat Oklahoma to drop them to 7-3 (3-3 SEC) and eliminate them from the playoffs.

Hopefully, we beat Missouri to improve to 9-0 and start 6-0 in SEC play for the first time ever.
