Based on what came out last night it appears the Baylor guy leading everything is trying to set up things to get at least 2 Big 12 teams in the playoff.

So now understanding that one, my guess how things will play out.

2 Big 12
4 SEC
3 Big 10
1ACC
Notre Dame
G5

The team to watch is Oregon. They could lose a game or two. If that occurs it possibly helps a 9-3 SEC team get in or 10-2 Vandy or Big 10 team other than Oregon.

Big 10 got 4 last year so SEC gets 4 this year.

ACC got 2 last year so Big 12 gets 2 this year. See Miami with 2 losses being 18 but Utah being ahead of them.

It's always about trying to share as best possible. That's why they need a so called committee.

I'd put Utah, BYU and Tech ahead of Texas and I'm not a Baylor fan for what it's worth.

Sankey just got on that soap box to justify going to a 9 game SEC schedule. At the end of the day committees will twist things for brands and sharing the money.

Its only been one year, but looking back only 2 teams not in the initial rankings ended up not making the playoff: BYI and Miami.

Initial rank, final rank below:

1. Oregon (1)
2. Ohio State (6)
3. UGA (2)
4. Miami (13 out)(was 9-0, finished 10-2)
5. tu (3)
6. Penn State (4)
7. UT (7)
8. Indiana (8)
9. BYU (17 out)(was 8-0, finished 10-2)
10. ND (5)
11. Bama (11 out, but would not have been in playoff at 11)
12. Boise (9)
13. SMU (10)
23. Clemson (16, in as ACC champ)
Unranked ASU (12)

Here's to hoping that we don't end up being like last year Miami if we finish 2-2 in November

No. Big 12 is good at Big 12 football. BYU would get destroyed by all but a fee SEC teams. Tech would lose to at least ten.
