We have lost 4 consecutive November SEC games and 7 consecutive November road games since a 34-13 win at Tennessee on 12/19/2020.

11/25/2023: 42-30 loss at 10-3 (6-2 SEC) LSU
11/2/2024: 44-20 loss at 9-4 (5-3 SEC) South Carolina
11/23/2024: 43-41 4-OT loss at 5-7 (2-6 SEC) Auburn

Hopefully, we snap both November losing streaks by beating Missouri on Saturday. I would love us to finish with an undefeated 12-0 (8-0 SEC) regular season record, but an 11-1 (7-1 SEC) regular season record would be acceptable. A 10-2 (6-2 SEC) regular season record would be disappointing because it probably means losing both November Road games to Missouri and Texas and extending our November road losing streak to 9 games and our November road winning drought into 2026.

OP, it's an interesting concept, the potential end of BAS.

I do think making a 12-team playoff is only meeting expectations. Let's not think that even earning a bye is a big deal. Winning multiple playoff games has to occur.

TCU earned absolutely nothing from their CFP final appearance a few years ago. Nothing. You'd never know the difference. Winning consistently over years must occur for the inflection point to be real.

RC was a good coach that capitalized on what Sherrill built. He protected it by not tearing it down but he didn't continue the upwards trajectory that Sherrill was on. He's a good coach but far from a builder.

As an example: He downsized the 12th man kickoff team to one man. He played it safe.

RC was a good coach but he had an offense problem: he couldn't get good qbs and wr's to come to A&M, which held us back from breaking through. Any time we played a real team they'd shut down our running game and we'd lose

I totally get the concerns after last year's end of year debacle, but I do think you can partially chock that up to the culture not being fully developed in Year 1. Felt like quite a few of our best players faded down the stretch in a new system once a few key pieces were injured. Offensive line really took a step back with some injuries and we did not have any juice at RB after Moss' injury.

Year 2, Moffitt, built up depth and better starters across the board on offense have me believing that we can weather the storm better this time around. We really need to stay out of 3rd and long as much as possible, those downs have been our biggest weakness in not scoring 40 every week, because we tend to move the ball well. I still want to see the defense play the caliber of game on the road that they have at home.

It's genetic. You can suppress the gene but it takes generations of breeding it out.

Actually if you are a real Aggie Football fan the idea of a self loathing description of yourself as something akin to BAS is embarassing, pathetic and never crossed your mind. The idea that some fans pity themselves and created a moniker for it instead of supporting the team through thick and thin is weak ass behavior. Hwy 6...

We made BAS ourselves after years of being cocky and then letting up. We need to build a few things permanently into our culture.
1. Rankings don't mean anything.
2. The only game that matters is the next one.
3. Just play hard and let the chips fall where they may.
4. He who practices hardest and mostest usually wins more.
5. Don't listen to the alumni/fans one way or the other. Play your game.

These kids don't have to win to make our lives complete. It's their time. Let them play.

Jmo BAS is like chicken pox and shingles . You never really get rid of it but it can go latent for long periods of time and maybe you never see it again if you're lucky.

I don't necessarily have BAS but I'd like to see us with a conference win in November before I feel any level of confidence I am immune.

There must an opposite to the stages of grief and one of those opposite stages when you have been predicting 8-4 or 6-6 all year with a team that goes 9-0, is the Joking Stage.

My BAS is so strong that if we win the title, I'll expect the refs to review a few plays, change their minds, and give the title to the other team while we're standing around on the podium.

Anyone into Aggie football more than five years has BAS. It just comes with the territory. No national championship since 1939 does not help reduce the symptoms. Now, if we had been playing all those years like this year, there would be a definite cure.
