Which is weird because I got one for MIL who lives much farther out of a metro area and her set up worked fine

You can create favorites that hides all the channels you don't want to see.

Might want to try rerun the channel tuner on your tv. Also, if you are able to place the antenna on the side of your house that faces the direction of the signal, preferably in a window, that can make a significant difference.

Another poster suggested sling day pass for $5. That's what I will be using until YouTube/Disney figure their **** out. Disney be damned!!!

Mizzou game is on ABC if you can OTA

Clicked on our game on Sling and it was a $25 monthly sub. I'll cancel it when YTTV gets back in order. I'm on the ABC channel now and it's working.

I'm eating crow on the big thread.

I only have a Disney+ sub and I'm able to log into the ESPN app on my AppleTV and watch all the games on ESPN. I was not able to watch ABC/ESPN on our main living room TV, which is still just using the native TV apps.

However I'm able to use the ESPN app on my other tv that uses AppleTV hardware.

I have no ESPN sub through any package.

Maybe it's an AppleTV loophole. I don't know.

Has antenna technology gotten worse? I grew up in Fort Stockton which is beyond rural and isolated and an antenna worked fine.

Thanks the event that I wanted to watch has already happened so I have not tried to trouble shoot the problem

It appears to be working for me. I did the one day pass online so if you are trying through the TV app, maybe try online.

Sling is currently streaming BYU vs TTech and Georgia vs Miss St.

It DOES show A&M vs Mizzou as available at 2:30p.

ETA: If you click on ESPN3 on the Sling guide, it populates a number of events available thorugh ESPN3. A@M vs Mizzou is one of those options.

Sling Day Pass will absolutely work because you paid for it and ESPN, ESPN2, and ESPN3 are part of the package.

I'm really confused as to why I have all of that on my AppleTV ESPN app though.

On sling the ABC games are on their ESPN 3

I have an off air antenna, so will get ABC there

Today I bought the month to month of package of of Disney+, Hulu, ESPN Unlimited for $29.99 for a month. I can cancel anytime. So that gives you ESPN+, SEC and all the ESPN games.

The big hassle is, I have to switch between Youtube Live TV, Antenna, and ESPN app. It will get me by until resolved.

This whole fiasco made me go back to cable.....not sure to cry or laugh.

I signed up for the DirecTV stream. It is more expensive but I at least can now watch the Astros and rockets as well as the Friday night high school football show.

so ESPN took off all their programming from XM Radio (including ESPN on Campus)

and now took off all their programming on youtube

Those digital TV antennas have long cords

Its best to.at least for the game, extend that antenna receiver as close to a window as possible

It will pick up ABC signal better

You most likely won't pick up a great signal unless it's near a window or outside

I think I've discovered the loop hole on my end. We have ATT Fiber for internet. When I open up the ESPN app, I get the AT&T U Verse icon in upper right of program for about 3 seconds before it goes away.

I have no ESPN sub and use YTTV as my live tv provider, but I can only assume that because I have ATT internet which is technically part of their U Verse product even though I don't pay for their U Verse cable product that I'm getting back doored into ESPN.

So, if you have AT&T for internet you might be in the clear.

ESPN will go broke trying to pay Stephen A. Smith.....who in effect is a loud mouthed a hole.
