1st quarter he made a comment about York being tied to Elko via Duke. I suppose that was just Tessitore being fos and blabbing away like normal but York has never played cfb anywhere but A & M.

Tessitore is horrible imo.

York was set to go to Durham, North Carolina and play for Elko and the Blue Devils, but the Aggies made an offer to York late in the process, most likely because other linebackers had passed on Texas A&M.

York was committed to Duke when Elko was still the HC there. He just switched over to A&M when Elko was hired as HC here.

Exactly. Elko may have recruited him to Duke but he never played there. Elko was probably heavily involved in his recruiting process before he left for Duke, and probably wanted York to follow him to Duke but it never happened.

That can't be right. York was playing at A&M in 2023. Elko was still the HC at Duke in 2023.

I think Elko really wanted York at Duke - was probably recruiting him back when he was DC at A&M, but just lost out to A&M.

According to York, only Elko wanted him. he was set to go to Duke until we offered at last minute

tessitore got confused. it will be okay. he's a great announcer overall.

this thread gets an 11 on level of whining.

I have a very different opinion but that's all good . Different strokes for different folks I suppose .
