True, and Edwards openly complained that A&M was not a worthy opponent. For some reason he actually thought BYU was far superior team and would not shut his yapper all the way up to game day.

That idiot coach learned his lesson that glorious day.

I sat at a bar next to a byu player from that game (big blond dude who wasn't drinking alcohol). It was at cirivello's in Long Beach, CA where the a&m club of socal met for game watches about +30 years ago.

He talked about how dirty the aggie players were. I specifically remember him talking about getting poked in the eye by an Aggie in the pile. It made me smile.

We weren't very good back then, but when we played Baylor when RGIII was QB we absolutely made him quit in the second half because we hit him damn near every play. He didn't like to get hit and by md 3rd quarter he had jsut about thrown in the towel.

I'll take that with Manning. Or more, whatever works best for us.
