If we win tomorrow my BAS will be cured
If we lose: curse confirmed
If we lose: curse confirmed
Oh please. 11-0 To then lose to a weaker Texas is absolutely height BAS.Blue Chip said:
At this point, 11-0, your anxiety is not about BAS.

Good grief.
Somewhere along the way "BAS " changed from being a humorous observation about expecting the other show to somehow fall for Aggie football to some sort of identity marker for some Aggies.
Honestly feel like some of us secretly WANT to see us lose this game so they can wallow in "my BAS!"
We could win the national championship and there will be a set of folks who after one loss next year will say "See? It's back! BAS strikes again!
It's not enough to be an Aggie. For some they must be "Battered Aggies" I guess.
Correction: Going 11-0 and then losing to sip, still making the conference title game by a combination of other teams' losses, losing that game, and then losing in the CFP to crash and burn on a three game losing streak -- that is what BAS dreams are made of.Slyfox07 said:Blue Chip said:

Oh disagree, amigo
Going 11-0 and then losing to sip, missing out on the conference title game and then losing in the CFP is what BAS dreams are made of

Why are Ags so proud of their BAS? Even SEC Shorts ridicules us for that.

You obviously haven't been around long enough to actually understand what BAS is. It's actually getting sweet talked back into believing things are different this time, they've changed, they won't let me down again! But then ultimately the shoe drops and you're left not only disappointed, but feeling stupid for believing again. See: 8-0 last season.
I'm genuinely happy for you new army kids that cant understand the heartbreak of the last 30 years. I'm envious. But don't go acting like BAS isn't well earned by the folks that have loved this program for a lot longer than you.

Nobody wants to lose this game. That's stupid.

You just don't understand the irritation and bs coming from Texas fans (that are your coworkers, friends, and family) that will come for the next 364 days if Texas upsets the Aggies "best season in 30 years."5 Dollar Footlong said:AccAg said:

If it brings you and others like you so much heartbreak and misery why the hell do you even bother watching?
This team did everything it needed to do to get to the PLAYOFFS. The path to the ultimate prize and yall are still squawking BAS....BAS like a bunch of parrots.
Go out and smoke some weed or if you already do..stop.

You left off the part where Texas uses the strength of the win against us to catapult themselves back into the playoffs, they go on a run, and win the Championship, while we end up getting left at home.
