Damn I love Coach Slocum. Wish he'd have been able to win it all here. He deserved it.

In 1999, we had 17 returning starters, plus Lechler, returning from the 1998 Big 12 Champion team. We were preseason ranked Top 5. Then Nebraska, OU, Penn State beat us by a combined 112-6. Same coach had a 3-8 bowl record. We built a statue of that coach at KF. A very misunderstood period in Texas A&M football history.
