After a 7-7 tie with 8:50 left in the 1st quarter, Ole Miss outscored Mississippi State 31-12 to demolish Mississippi State 38-19 on the road for their 5th consecutive win to finish 11-1 (7-1 SEC) and secure their first-ever CFP appearance. Mississippi State has lost 3 consecutive games to Georgia, Missouri, and Ole Miss by a combined score of 128-67 to finish 5-7 (1-7 SEC) and miss bowl eligibility for the 3rd consecutive year. I notice several other trends:

1. Ole Miss has won 3 consecutive Egg Bowls and 5 of the last 6 Egg Bowls since 2020, including 3 consecutive road wins in Starkville.

2. Since the beginning of 2023, Mississippi State is 2-22 in SEC games, and both wins were road games against Arkansas in 2023 and 2025.

3. Mississippi State has lost 13 consecutive SEC home games since a 39-33 overtime win over Auburn on 11/5/2022.

Is it sacrilege to hope that when Kiffie is praying whether he should take this 10+million dollar a year offer or that 10+ million dollar a year offer that God smites him with a case of biblical hemorrhoids for wasting his time?
