I can't sleep. Looking at our schedule I say we go 9-3. What are your thoughts?

Losses to Bama, Texas, and Split UT/OU.

Where are our losses?

Only one game matters. But then again, who gives af anymore? Certainly not the program.

We don't lose to Bama…. But will lose to UT and OU and LSU if LK is the coach

And unless we get a QB that weighs more than 200lbs for this offense next year might be the last chance at making the playoffs again

9 conference games is going to wreck more havoc than people realize. Some of the top tier SEC games that were missed this year are going to be played, and those games are often coin flips. I'm predicting a log jam of 7-2 SEC teams that all are looking for playoff spots.

idk, but 9-3 is considered for sure getting in the playoff in a 9-game SEC schedule. Unless you're maybe Vandy.

Surely we won't lose to that Manning tard once we re-up on defense and replace some of these borderline 3-stars from our rebuild.

9-3 is going to be a good record going forward. 11-1 will be rarified air. Somebody has to take these extra losses and it won't be all bottom feeders. OU and sips joining the SEC has already added extra losses to some good teams. OU's beaten Bama the last 2 years and we know our issues. Adding another conference game just makes it that much harder to only lose one SEC game. Going undefeated in the SEC is just not going to happen often.

Issue will be replacing both WR's. Great find by Elko and co. but they'll be missed. Getting Moss back will help if he can ever stay healthy.

This was our year to make the championship game

Let's just say that we really blew it last night. That will be our best opportunity to go to the title game and beat the Horns for at least the next 2 years.

We lose our o-line, Cashius, Will Lee, York (though I think he's overrated), KC and Moss. Without that talent (and no obvious talented backfills), I think we'd need to be pleased to go 9-3. Sadly, I think 8-4 is likely with losses to Bama, L$U (presuming they have Kiffin), OU, and tsip. 5 SEC road game years like next year are just going to suck. Doesn't help that sip misses Bama and Georgia next year and will come in with 1 maybe 2 losses.

While I do agree that 9-3 finishes in the SEC will be more commonplace, it will take the committee 2-3 years to "adjust", so I expect to be snuffed a time or two.

7-5. or, God forbid we will drop some random game and beat Bama, finish 8-4 and give Elko a 10 year extension because he beat Bama. (Who would go on to lose out and miss playoffs).

This story (curse) is already written in the blood of the Native American burial ground on which Kyle Field was built.

I think we have truly turned the corner and are no longer an 8-4 team losing a game or two to teams that are worse than us every year. Next year we play Alabama, OU, Texas, Tennessee, and a (probably) Kiffin lead LSU... at least three of those teams will actually be in the upper half of the SEC, so probably 9-3.

It looks like we don't have a 3rd OOC game as of yet. Right now have Missouri state, Arizona State and ?
With 9 conf games much to find out about the schedule when exactly do we play when.

Maybe we can play Ohio State, Georgia, Oklahoma, and several more really good teams.

And then beat the 'sips.

We lose a lot of experience on the oline. Probably take a step back there. I haven't been too impressed with our ability to run the ball the last month though

Given how impacted this team was by the transfer portal I don't see how you could even begin to guess what next year will be like. Every year is going to be a new team.

10-2. I think some new recruits come in and make a difference. But we play a tougher schedule.
