It really does.

I'm just not that interested in the sips any more.

I want the Ags to become the kind of program that makes the playoffs regularly. Rivalries are fun, but they're not the big picture afaic.

Get a grip. He's probably more disappointed than anyone. I think some key players let him down, Reed was awful as was Klein.

Beating Texas is a low level task.

We are still in the PO. Let's try to win.

Ohio State consistently loses to Michigan.

It happens.

But they still take care of business. They are one of the most absolutely Winningest programs of many, many years.

And decades.

Let's try being Ohio-state-esque for a while.

It is interesting that, in spite of the Natty last year, many at The Ohio State University want to put Ryan Day on the hot seat for his struggles against Michigan.

So this "psychiatric illness" is not unique to Aggies.

Neither was at the top of their game. With Reed being erratic, we seemed to have opportunities running the ball but we didn't stay with it enough to find out. Reed was clearly confused and wouldn't get the ball out. They took away the slants and shallow crossing routes so I presume we were trying to hit intermediate and deeper routes that should have been open (can't tell that they were on TV) but those, if they were thrown at all, were thrown late and inaccurately. I also don't remember but one or two deep throws…we were behind the defense but they were overthrown. So, yes our offense simply didn't get it done…not with scheme or execution.

You should. As log as they keep owning us on the field they will take the majority of the best recruits in the state. Texas still has a talent advantage over us - along with Ohio St, Georgia, Alabama and maybe a few others. If we aspire to win national championships we need to continue to upgrade the talent to that level.

True. But getting there isn't just flipping a light switch.

We've got a good coach who's building a good program with good culture in the modern day game with today's entitlement-minded kids.

Give him a minute to keep doing his thing.

People that think like this don't seem to grasp the "big picture". Also, people that believe this- are holding Aggie football back. This isn't the 60's anymore. NCAA Football is big buisiness now and there are many ways to be successful.

What exactly fell into place in the 80s/90s? Do we have a secret trophy case somewhere? The national narrative at that time was "Texas is down" not "A&M is legit".

Ohio State beat Michigan 8 times in a row, then lost 4 in a row. I'd take that vs our rival any day

More like the SWC was on it's last legs. A good, but not great A&M team (typically with an outstanding defense and mediocre offense) was beating up on a bunch of bad SWC teams. Why do you think we lost our bowl game more often than not?

This was a common line of thinking way back when. My dad and uncle graduated when no women were admitted. That sentiment if we only win that one game our season is made just doesn't need to exist anymore. We are no longer some small cow college where they have all the money and resources. The playing field is equal, but the prize is now different. Playoffs and extending the season to win it all is more important than that one game. Although yes I'd prefer to crush them in the process but the inability to do so no longer defines our season

Well, as a fan and grad of tOSU and A&M, I can tell you that refs don't favor Michigan or tOSU Fair and balanced). I can seriously sit through this entire game win or loss (no ref shenanigans). There is something else going on in A&M/tu game series. TSUN ain't doing weird crap to their field or hiring assasin zebras!

Another HUGE difference is media bias (truly feels like a true hate at A&M). It's a real thing. I swear its still Aggies that think tu didnt cheat for decades (hoarding players, dispatching lawyers at our AD, VY knee throw). To think something isn't nefarious or intentional in this rivalry is foolish. It truly should be studied. They put a curse on our entire Athletics. Corporate sabotage possibly? I still think some serious voodoo happened that we must find and bind the blood of Christ against that evil.
