Better hope a CFP team we play has a pocket passer. Elko and his players to this day have no clue how to deal with a dual threat…….

….the frustrating thing is we have one too but when the game is on the line it means nothing!

Correct. For whatever reason, Elko defenses the past two seasons have struggled mightily with mobile QBs. Gotta tighten that up...a lot.

1st and 10, 2nd and 8, 3rd and 8...wide open middle of the field...how many times? There is a mobile QB out there, Elko, who cant throw for **** unless you give him 10 minutes. Keep the pressure on and we win walking away.

It was insane to see it happen so many times in a row.

So frustrating to watch other teams that have their own dual threat QB handle our dual threat QB…….

I guess we don't use Reed at practice………

Easy - Our LB's are slow and undersized.

#25 can't tackle QB's or RB's out on the perimeter.

Not an Xs and Os guy here. In an obvious passing situation, what's the appropriate defensive package to pressure the QB, defend 4-6 receivers/TEs/backs, AND spy the QB to prevent him from running for huge yards.

That's certainly part of it...but it's not all of it. Our D-line played poorly last night and got manhandled by their O-line. The ripple effect from that to the LBs and DBs was obvious.

Can't have 6 receivers. You send 1 more than they have for blockers, & play tight as possible man.

Gotta be real good up front to take pressure off the DB's, we were just late many times last night.
