Which may be the worst possible way to do it.

I'm not here to defend the committee, but what a mess they have on their hands with the Ole Miss situation. How do you seed the Rebs knowing that their coach is likely leaving and taking a lot of the players with him?

There are only 136 FBS teams and you mean to tell me we played a 100+ strength of schedule? C'mon…nobody believes that. I get that we didn't play the top of the SEC, but no reasonable metric has us with a 100+ SoS.

Random guy on Twitter is wrong. Theres no reasonable way our sos is anywhere near 100 or that Indiana, osu or oregon or Notre dame have anywhere close to our schedule
Have you even paid attention? The committee constantly bags on our schedule. So which ranking are they using? Please tell us.
I think the SoS they use is complete garbage. But it's what they use.
Yes, I k ow they dogged our schedule. Which made no sense when anyone with Google could pull up osu, iu, tech, Oregon, Ole miss' schedule a.d see they are **** too.
Makes sense now if they have some super secret formula that we can't see.
Its so ****ing stupid
If you're mad now, I bet you'd be thrilled to learn that the committee's SOS formula is basically comprised of two components: record of opponents and record of opponent's opponents. That's it. That's the formula.

The twitter guy prediction has Ole Miss at 6 this week. Will committee lower them for no Kiffin?
To me, they should. But I don't think they will.

We are also 8th in game control.
Where are you seeing this?

SOS 91
QW 3
T25W 1
GC 14.1
Ive been saying for weeks if the #Aggies lost, they would tumble. W/a SOS this low, GC has to be impressive to get a pass. GC is 3rd worst in the poll. Where #Sooners got a pass for good SOS, #Aggies are penalized.

I simply will.nevwr ever understand their sos ranking. Its quite comical they have the super special one that agrees with no others.
It is 2/3rd opp win%, 1/3rd oppopp win%. FCS opp losses count in that tally but not their wins.

Don't stop with just the crappy SOS ranking. It gets worse. They define a quality win (QW) as a win over any team with a record above .500.
You'll notice we went from 5QW last week to 3 this week. That's because UTSA and USU both lost dropping them to 6-6. Which means, 40% of our "quality wins" were cupcake games at home in September.
This is actually a significant metric that they use.
Correction: QW = any FBS team over.500

SOS 43
QW 4
T25W 1
GC 23.3
The #Ducks enjoy good GC & good SOS. QWs are good & 1 T25W isn't ideal but with a GC at 23.3 they get a pass. Eugene will be rocking the first round of the playoffs.
