5 this year pairs nicely with the Go5 best champion who will be the 12. Based on last week that's Tulane at 24…

If you do a blind resume, TT, Oregon, and A&M are the same. If TT wins big XII, they should be 4. The it comes down to what to do with Ole Miss. these 3 teams should be 5, 6, 7

We will be ranked ahead of Oklahoma, on the basis of superior record, and a less-bad loss to Texas. We may or may not be ranked ahead of Notre Dame on the basis of head-to-head.

Now, if you wanna hear the folks in Austin truly scream in agony, let's do the scenario where Duke wins the ACC, James Madison wins its championship, and North Texas beats Tulane. The last two would be seated automatically, because Duke does not get a higher rank than either of those teams, and would be locked out of the playoffs- alongside Texas, which would see three other teams in state getting playoff bids.

Really love how the Big Ten is loaded at the top. Why is Oregon above Ole Miss. What ranked team did they beat. Oh yeah USC. Whoever matches against Indiana will get a freebie. Another team that beat nobody.

Will probably end up 6 -8 and likely get Bama or OU. Dont think they would give us ND again.

Vandy gets hosed as the committee will pick ND depite Vandy having better wins. ND proved once again they can lose to top 10 teams but get ranked artificially high for their win vs USC and Pitt.

t.u. deserves to be in as they beat OU, Vandy and A&M. Yeah we punched their ticket because we are the little brother. But doubt they jump ND.

They have us at #7 and #7 plays #10.

I cant stand t.u. I dont want them in but they have the wins. So you put ND in over them because ND didnt lose to a bad team. They also didnt beat anyone. That is terrible logic.

Tech or Oregon gets the 4 if Bama beats Georgia. Once again teams wont be seeded correctly. Can we just put a mid-west team like ND or Ohio St in the finals so NCAA is happy.

I honestly hope it doesn't play out like that, but you gotta play the best to be the best, so there you have it.

It has only been 2 years since Florida State got sent packing so that tu/bama could get in.

We get the 4/5 seed as justification to let tu in the playoffs at 10. I don't see the path for this to happen, but no one saw the path in 2023 for them to get in and it still happened.

Our good seeding is step one of the justification for their golden cow. They put us at 4/5. OU at 8. OSU - 1 and Ga - 3 and Vandy @ 11.

Then they can say - tu lost to 1 and 3 and beat 4,8,11. So obviously they are the #10 seed.


It is all just theater at this point. Fortunately there are 12 spots and we get 1 of them. Unfortunately, it is still this random subjective ranking and the "eyeballs" will always get the benefit of the doubt.

With Michigan losing this week, tu automatically climbs to 15, right behind Vandy. They beat Vandy so they automatically jump Vandy to 14. Utah didn't look great against Kansas, so tu is now at 13. Where there is a will, the committee will find a way. This time it may help our seeding, but 1 team is going to get screwed over this, and we could have righted that impending wrong on Friday.

Next weekend might be crazy yet. And we can logic our way to heaven and back and still be left dumbfounded by the committee's reasoning.

Think they'll drop Ole Miss upon kiffin's defection to corndogs. Might even just flip us & them so that we get the #6 spot instead of #7. But who knows...

Our resume is better than Oregon's. Better W (ND on road vs USCw at home), less bad loss (Indiana at home by 10, t.u. on the road by 10). With Kiffin leaving Ole Miss hoping we stay ahead of both for 5 seed. If TT then loses big in B12 CCG, would they keep them at 4?

In no world will the committee make Bama go to Kyle to play their first game. They will move heaven and earth to have that not happen. Kyle field will get a patsy to play. Bama would lose their minds if they had to come to Kyle after being beat to hell by Georgia. But hey. I'm okay with it. But no way do we get that matchup. Because we win that game and the entire recruiting momentum shifts enormously. It would hurt Bama a ton if they lost. I don't see it happening.

I'm good with six. Virginia or Duke at home. Don't want to fall to seven. I don't think we make five.

Does the committee drop Ole Miss with Kiffin leaving? I don't see it much different than a star player getting hurt - you're losing the person whose talent is spearheading your drive to success.
