If our team "didn't want it" as much, that's on them, not the coaches.

We played uninspiring football. Sips wanted it more on the field it seemed. If our best RB was in then??? but that's no excuse for us playing with what seemed to me very little spirit. A head scratcher.
On to win the natty and beat tu in 2026 in Kyle. Where is the Bu-t Plug Bowl played at? That should get their fan base fired up.

Sark did a very good job of adjusting, but at the same time Coach Elko has done an awesome job. Keep in mind that before Texas, Sark was dwelling in the house of the greatest college coach ever and is drawing from that experience. Some of it is simple stuff. Look at Nick Saban's Alabama teams. Their jerseys are tucked in. Look at the Texas players, their jerseys are tucked in. Look at our guys. Some look like they are wearing a dress. We potentially lost a touchdown for it. It didn't matter in the 70's with tearaways, but it does now. Also, I am surprised I haven't read commentary on the turf. I don't frequent DKR, but it looks like artificial turf which behaves differently from grass especially relative to injuries, like Reed's ankle and about 3 others. Looking forward, I would arrange for a practice on a field with artificial turf, if that is what the game is to be played on. I have watched good and bad since 1979, and I really don't want to go back to a Franchione who could beat Texas 2 years in a row, while losing to most of the other teams. The real credit goes to Stephen McGee who left his guts on the field. But, I think Coach Elko deserves a pat on the back.
