Hopefully the committee will bump ole Miss down
Recency bias is crap. No way a loss to TU with a win on the road against ND is worse than Tech or Oregon. Ole Miss has an argument but with the coaching situation, they should ultimately get knocked down.
Thoughts:
Tceh has no business at 5. We'll jump Ole Miss once Kiffin bolts. That is, at the end of the day, we'll be in front of them in the CFP.

Both Tech and Oregon are fool's gold who have played nobody all year.

If Bama beats UGA they will likely move up from 10. If they lose they probably stay at 10.

The 6 seed is exponentially better than the 7 seed. Your possibiliites with 6 are Duke, Virginia, JMU, UNT, Tulane. With 7, it's Alabama, Notre Dame, BYU, Miami.
Really, really hope the committee actually looks at the resumes instead of just using recency bias.

First round is: 12 @ 5, 11 @ 6, 10 @ 7, 9 @ 8.
If we stay @ 7 we host #10 @ Kyle where we are 7-0 this season and the 12th Man will be at a fever pitch!
Current #10 AP fwiw is Bama. Could change after the SEC title game.

Oregon at 4 is a joke. Their best win is at home against USC. They also lost a home game. Ags best win was a road night game against ND, and we lost a road game at our rival. But yeah, Oregon deserves to be ahead of us.
FWIW, IIRC, all four teams with a first round bye last year lost in the 2nd round.

That's not how it's supposed to be. The point of having a SEASON is that the whole SEASON matters.
One of the best teams in the country losing in a rivalry game on the road in their final game is freaking meaningless compared to losing to Arizona State, no matter what cope fest is conjured up about injured players (while ignoring that we have been playing with 3 starters injured half the season).
Some of you hate Texas so much that you failed to comprehend the fact that winning in Austin was going to be an incredibly difficult task. We didn't get it done, but why be an eeyore when comparing us to other teams with flaws? Jeebus.
