FWIW, ESPN projects us at 6 which would have us hosting their #11 Virginia.

Ole Miss might be lucky to get into CFP
Will all depend on how many of their coaches leave and if players opt out
No chance they get left out.
Depends on their team now. This could very easily be interpreted as being a bigger deal than an injured QB1
Why in the hell would anyone at Ole Miss opt out?TAMUallen said:

That's not how any of this works. They have until mid-January to make the decision to follow Lane, so why would they forfeit an opportunity to play in the playoffs???TAMUallen said:Tamuco99 said:Why in the hell would anyone at Ole Miss opt out?TAMUallen said:

If your slimeball coach leaves and expects you to follow him, weird things happen

It's not nearly as complicated as you're trying to make it. Several Ole Miss contributors will follow Lane to LSU, but they'll do so AFTER their season is done. The money isn't going anywhere and there's absolutely no urgency on Lane's part to rush them into the portal immediately when he isn't even coaching the team yetTAMUallen said:Tamuco99 said:That's not how any of this works. $$$ and what coach wants
Seems strange and foreign but clearly we are in a very weird time with college football

Someday you guys will realize it's how you finish
No one cares how you played at the start of the season…. They know like anyone else that knows football that how a team looks on the back half of season is more truth than the start of the season
We should have beaten Texas and we didn't…this is who we are
That's not how it's supposed to be. The point of having a SEASON is that the whole SEASON matters.
One of the best teams in the country losing in a rivalry game on the road in their final game is freaking meaningless compared to losing to Arizona State, no matter what cope fest is conjured up about injured players (while ignoring that we have been playing with 3 starters injured half the season).
A big part of that was how the bracket was structured. The byes all went to conference champions, whether they were good or not. This year, all byes are given out on merit. Apples and oranges.Ag in ATL said:
FWIW, IIRC, all four teams with a first round bye last year lost in the 2nd round.
Youre entitled to have your pity party, but can you keep the invite list private? Many (most?) of us aren't interested in attending.Jbob04 said:
You big mad. What I said was true. We had our chance against the sips but blew it. Everyone crying about being behind tech and Oregon. We controlled our own fate.

100% they find a way to include Texas. They are making a ton of noise and we all know when they throw a tantrum they get what they want.
The committee will put them at 13, so when BYU loses to Tech again, they slide right into the 12 spot. If I'm wrong, so be it, but I've seen this rigged bull**** for years. When they say they're baaaaaack, this is what they mean, back to getting their way.

FCS playoffs got going this weekend. I'll be all over them next weekend. Those games are a lot of fun to watch.
And when the Bison fans come to Frisco every year for their NC game, it's a blast as they the best, friendliest fans anywhere.

Our loss to tu is better than Tech's loss to.ASU. I don't know why that's hard for people to understand. Not that I expect AP voters to pay attention or understand that. I do expect the committee to understand that though.

Agree Tech hasn't been tested, but no team has come close to beating them ither than the ASU last second win after Tech lost its QB.
We can't say fir sure just hiw good they are.
