It makes me LOL to hear sip say in one breath that A&M is way overrated but in the next breath say "we beat the #3 team so we should be in". So which is it?

You need to win games. Looking at it another way Ohio State is being rewarded for beating tu early in the season.

Ohio St hasn't gotten anything from that win. They'd be #1 regardless based on the rest of their games. We didn't get much if anything for beating ND. Did it push us over IU? No. With a 9 game SEC schedule time for these games to end. The schedule is plenty hard enough. There's nothing left to prove and plenty to lose. This year it's t.u., but next year it could be us.

I'd play 2 easy games, 1 against a team you should beat but not guaranteed and a 9 game SEC schedule is plenty. In the Big they can take several weeks off. In the SEC you don't get that advantage.

Both of course. Sip wants whatever benefits them most.

Not convinced that tu is out. They bring a lot of eyeballs to their games, and if it is even remotely possible the committee will find a way to get them in.

But all ya'll should stop talking trash about them. The've curb-stomped our team twice in a row. Beat them some time, and then you can crow.

Texas is 2-3 on the road and is fortunate not to be 0-5.

Tech, Indiana, Oregon all are benefitting from beating 4 cupcakes

Two things can be true at the same time. OSU and Indiana had cupcake schedules, but they're also both VERY good.

Actually looking forward to the Big 10 championship...the QB (Sayin) vs. QB (Mendoza) Is unreal.

If Texas doesn't get into the playoff I think they should cancel future games against Ohio State, Michigan, Notre Dame and anyone else that has the potential to start the season in the top 25.

I bet they scheduled most of those games when they were still playing a weak a$$ big 12 schedule, and now make it look like they are martyrs.

That's the point

I wasn't ****ing on A&M's schedule as much as pointing out the fallacy of the poster saying Texas had an easy SEC sked.

It's been a fantastic year for A&M and I'm jealous of y'all heading into the playoffs. Last year was so much as a Texas fan. Shades of March madness collecting wins into the postseason.

I'd say I wish you all luck but really I hope it's one and done.
Texas had one of the easiest schedules in SEC history, again. It only turned out a little better because Vandy's 3-stars did better this year. And because you get credit for beating OU's injured QB. Otherwise, your schedule sucked beyond Georgia who blew yall out again and A&M without Moss & then a QB injured in 1st Qtr. And you couldn't have beaten any power-5 team in Week 1 with Arch throwing grounders.

And A&M is playing with house-money by making the playoffs in Year 2 of a rebuild. It supercharges recruiting, and we're already the #1 recruiting class in the nation. Sark went like 8-5 in Year 2 with a healthy 5-star QB.

Indiana about lost to Penn State's backup QB. They're suspect, unless they beat or almost beat Ohio St this wkd.

Hello, beta. Tell your Sips to extend Arch so he's their QB the next 2 years. Will never make the playoffs.

Actually, most of Sips wins are back during racial-segregation when A&M was a military school. It's not far from .500 in the last 45 years. Think these last 2 losses pulled it below .500 for us.

If tu gets in because of tv viewership then just get of the committee altogether and make the playoffs the 12 teams with the highest viewership that season. Just burn this stupid **** to the ground.

This. If this happens, the entire country will finally realize that ESiPN IS the committee and all credibility will be gone. Why even play the games if it's just about eyeballs? Just put the 12 highest ratings draws in every year and be done with it.

And as far as them crying about the Ohio St loss, that was actually one of the highlights of their season. A close loss to #1 is unfortunately not enough to overcome a loss to a horrible Florida team, being dragged to overtime (in games they honestly should have lost and everyone knows it) by two conference cellar dwellers and getting a 4 score beatdown in a game they absolutely had to have in order to stay in the hunt.

Sorry, sip. Not your turn this year unless "the committee" proves itself to be as fraudulent as The Wizard

People forget that Texas was #1 when they played tOSU. In Sark's own (albeit incorrect) words they outgained tOSU by 200 yards. Well you know what that sounds like? A game Texas probably should've won. Scheduling tough OOC can be a positive data point when comparing two very similar teams, but it doesn't give you a hall pass to lose without consequences. That's part of what makes it a big game.

The loss sucks and hopefully it motivates the team like OSU losing last year to MI, but it let tu have false hopes and only to get their imaginary spot in the CFP removed.

The loss allowed Archie and Sarky to plea their case so that if OK, Miami,Vandy, ND or Oregon lost maybe just maybe the sips would get a seat. Herby, Finebaum and even Saban were suggesting it was not fair to be punished for playing OH State.

Then one door after the other slammed shut and now the Manning Media Machine is being shut down until next year. Warby Parker and Vuori may as well hire the bud light advertising genius.

The season and the last hope went down the old Cooper pooper.

If OU, Miami, ND, and Oregon lost, they'd have a case. But they didn't, so **** em. Let them b***ch and moan all they want, it won't change anything.

Y'all all gonna be pissed when you watch the committee put these cock suckers in a position to get in from the Conference Championship losses. A 2 loss BYU will 100% get ****ed by losing to Tech again. They WILL NOT put Vandy in ahead of Texas and they will use the "Head to Head" argument to justify it. I guarantee they are lobbying to the highest powers because they beat OU and A&M and we're in. It's the Texas way, they throw a fit and get their way. I HOPE I'm wrong.

Just remember this SAME committee ****ed a 13-0 Florida State from getting in. They ****ed us in favor of ND and they WILL drop or kick out Ole Miss because of all this coaching drama. Ole Miss, OU, Vandy, TAMU and the loser of the SECCG are "At Large" selections, NOT guarantees.

Texas defeated 3 teams that won 10+ regular season games: 10-2 (6-2 SEC) Oklahoma, 10-2 (6-2 SEC) Vanderbilt, and 11-1 (7-1 SEC) Texas A&M, but they also lost to 4-8 (2-6 SEC) Florida, who lost to South Florida at home. Texas is not punished for playing a road game at 12-0 (9-0 Big 10) Ohio State, but they are punished for losing to 4-8 (2-6 SEC) Florida.

There are 6 SEC teams with 10+ wins: 11-1 Georgia (7-1 SEC), 11-1 (7-1 SEC) Ole Miss, 10-2 (6-2 SEC), 11-1 (7-1 SEC) Texas A&M, 10-2 (7-1 SEC) Alabama, 10-2 (6-2 SEC) Oklahoma, and 10-2 (6-2 SEC) Vanderbilt. 5 of those 6 teams all won their Power 4 nonconference games, and the only exception was Alabama's 31-17 road loss to 5-7 (2-6 ACC) Florida State. If 10-2 Vanderbilt is on the bubble, then 9-3 Texas should be out.

TU should stay home. They caught some breaks from the officials all season - like the mystery low block. They did dominate the second half but Reed was prolly hurt. He played his 2 worst games against TU. Twice as many turnovers v total TDs for the entire offense. Really Bad.

And for you younger Ags, sack up.
It's cyclical.
And yall just caught some bad luck in that their most recent down cycle just so happened to be when they weren't on our schedule anymore.

Imagine the ND and ou crying when both 2 loss teams are bumped out by 3 loss tu and 1 loss BYU. BYU can't be in the field this week without a 2 loss team like OU,ND or Bama being knocked out. Tu would have to pass 1 loss BYU, 2 loss Miami, 2 loss Vandy, 2 loss Virginia…time is up. Season is over.

They would not be an 11 seed, the 11 seed will be the ACC champion and the 12 seed will be the group of 5 champion. They would have to be the 10 seed which means they would have to replace ND, OU, Alabama, or Ole Miss
