Saying the Ags looking terrible against an inferior team being why they dropped so far isn't true. Especially when you can look to a year ago when Ohio State looked much more terrible against a far more inferior opponent and didn't drop at all, instead it was "it's a rivalry game."

To be clear, I laid out more than one factor in my post. I'm not sure why you are ignoring the totality of what I said in order to focus on simply one thing.

But, I will happily address it so you aren't confused.

The Ags have shown a trend in their last two games against FBS opponents to not play well. Remember that it took an historic comeback against a very bad team to win a game by 1 point. Then, the Ags didn't play great in the first half against texas (well enough to have the lead, but not up to their full potential), then got out coached and out played, badly, in the second half.

You keep trying to rely on one-game from a year ago when it isn't comparable. Not only because every year is different, but also because the Ags haven't played well the last 2 games (I'm ignoring Samford), and their marquee win was by 1pt against a team that could miss the playoffs.

Could A&M have been ranked higher? Yes.

Is being ranked #7 outrageous? No.

I do think it's a joke that Ole Miss gets the benefit of playing a G5 team after losing a head coach and having a squeaker against Washington State only because they lost earlier. But you deal with the hand dealt.

I absolutely agree about ole miss. I'm not sure how they didn't lose ground after basically the whole staff leaving.

You are right too. At the end of the day, you play what you got. I fully believe the Ags can make a deep run in the playoffs and I'm excited to see a home play off game.
