They were absolute gems out of the portal that made our offense so much more potent.

It's a huge drop off to WR's 3 and 4. How do we replace that kind of talent

Have to be 3 yrs removed from hs to be draft eligible I believe. Concepcion is , Craver isn't.

If Myles didn't het reinjured, he would have been top 3 WR and a starter. He adds size, speed and catch radius. Losing him was huge as he was owning practices catching everything.

Hoping he comes back 100% as integral to the team. Gregory just signed will be similar.

Very little time to buy. Portal is like a week in January and then not open again until 2027.

Gregory is supposed to be very good, like improved on improved to the point now he could see significant time next season. Enrolls early.

I'd argue we should get 1 elite WR out of the portal.

I think Bussey will be very good once he gets more looks.

ABR will be our X next year and I think Mario will be the Z. If Williams continues to develop I could see Mario playing the slot role again next year. Bussey is going to surprise some people next year when he makes a big developmental leap. The position has started to click a bit for him this year, and I think next year he'll take off with a chance to have a big senior season the year after that. People that say he's not fast or explosive don't know what they're looking at

It would be immensely helpful if every ball thrown his way didn't require some sort of circus catch.

Concepcion is getting multiple late first round projections. He's quite polished, and has very little athletic upside. Those kind of guys are taking massive risks coming back to school, particularly when they just had an all American season.

Now, NIL has certainly changed that calculation, but typically only for guys with significant higher pick upside and sometimes because they want to chase a championship (eg Egbuka). I doubt A&M is a legit title contender next year, and Concepcion is unlikely to improve his stock on a squad losing their all conference caliber RB and nearly every offensive lineman.

Additionally, this is an iffy WR class. Carnell Tate, Makai Lemon, Chris Brazzell, Jordan Tyso, etc are good players, but they aren't comparable, as a group, with the talent and depth of 2027, ie Jeremiah Smith, Ryan Williams, Cam Coleman, Nick Marsh, Ryan Wingo, etc. The financial risks for a guy like Concepcion are immense.

Great athlete but I think he's had 3 season ending knee injuries in a row. Probably won't ever play much here if I had to guess, but I sure hope he does.

Bussey should be playing a mix of TB, and Slot
